Pastors in El Salvadoran Moved to Action

As reported in December's Reformation Report, Dr. Mark Beliles traveled to El Salvador and spent time teaching in various cities, including Sonsonate. Recently we heard from Jose Gutierrez, the organizer of the seminars, who reported on the impact Dr. Beliles' teaching had on his city.

"Unity has been restored to the pastors of Sonsonate," he says and "they have come together from many denominations to initiate a Restoration Plan for Sonsonate." The mayor has also allocated space in city hall for them to meet for prayer and fasting once a month. Gutierrez says they are all very encour- aged.

Noting the drastic change in the atmosphere, Gutierrez invited Dr. Beliles back for another seminar, this time with over 300 pastors from the city. Gutierrez sees this as crucial in order to "seal and promote the powerful work that God is beginning to do with the leaders of the city.

Please pray for Jose Gutierrez and the pastors of Sonsonate, El Salvador. God is working and we want to see this be an example to other places of what can happen when people who fol- low the Lord move to transform their culture. Also, please pray for Dr. Beliles as he prepares for the return to El Salvador in the next couple of months.

4-14 Window Government and Political Track in Singapore

Plans move forward to continue the work of the 4-14 Window's Government and Political Track as a functioning body in September's international summit in Singapore. Under the direction of Dr. Mark Beliles, the track will expand on the work set out in last year's global summit in New York City. Along with Dr. Beliles, Miguel Moreno will coordinate activities of participants from Latin America, and Karen Gann will work with delegates from Asia.

The goals of the track remain the same: to raise awareness among government leaders of the need for laws that work to protect children, and to raise a generation of children who desire to become involved in government and civil leadership.

Asia Pacific Leadership Summit

The Transform World 4-14 Global Summit III will take place in Singapore this year. From September 6th though the 9th, international delegates will work on the developing plan to reach the youth of the world that are between the ages of 4 and 14. This will be the third of five planned annual global summits.

Directly following the 4-14 Global Summit, The Asia-Pacific Leadership Summit will take place on Sept. 10, also in Singapore. Dr. Beliles will host this strategy meeting for national leaders who want to incorporate a Biblical Worldview in transforming their nations.
